Verdampfer charging in Alexandria (Vanilla Custard)
Verdampfer advice for Alexandria, covering charging, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
We spent weeks putting verdampfer options through their paces so the recommendations here reflect real use. Worth noting that the 510 bottom pin takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below.
Search results for verdampfer in Alexandria are crowded, which is why this page focuses on what actually changes the experience. Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all.
Charging over USB-C takes about 69 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the USB-C socket on the base and whether the 1.2 Ω mesh coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the Wismec Reuleaux earns its keep: the 5000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 65 and recharges over USB-C.
The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help. Flavour tracking stays consistent from the first day to roughly the 1.2 Ω mesh mark before the profile flattens and a swap makes sense. In Alexandria, availability of the 1.2 Ω mesh coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself.
The narrow bore mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips. Comparing this against a 80:20 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume. The 3.5 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem.
The build quality on Wismec Reuleaux is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry. Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal. Charging over USB-C takes about 69 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Raspberry Lemonade: sweet, tart, described as summer lemonade with a raspberry accent. On a 80:20 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.2 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Alexandria
Availability in Alexandria is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.2 Ω mesh and the USB-C are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 bottom pin matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and EGP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
