Affordable Verdampfer in Alexandria (IQOS III)
Verdampfer advice for Alexandria, covering care routine, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
The gap between a mid-range and a premium verdampfer narrows once you know which components you actually use. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own.
There is no single best verdampfer for everyone in Alexandria, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. Comparing this against a 20:80 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume.
Vapour production is more than adequate at 80, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying. Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all. The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help.
Expect roughly 548 full puffs from a charge at 6 mg/ml, based on average session length in our testing. Delivery across Alexandria is typically two to four working days with tracked dispatch, and returns are straightforward within the standard window. The build quality on RELX Pro is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry.
For tank lovers, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge. Flavour tracking stays consistent from the first day to roughly the 1.5 Ω regular mark before the profile flattens and a swap makes sense. Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal.
The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 1.5 Ω regular coil changes the draw character compared with the 20:80 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. The Lilac Mist finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily.
In Alexandria, availability of the 1.5 Ω regular coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself. Charging over Micro-USB takes about 70 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Worth noting that the 510 bottom pin takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Blueberry Muffin: creamy, sweet, described as baked blueberry with a soft crumb. On a 20:80 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.5 Ω regular mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Alexandria
Availability in Alexandria is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.5 Ω regular and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 bottom pin matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and EGP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Availability shifts often, so check the current listing before committing to a large order.
